Q: Why did you choose WSU?
A: I chose Wayne State because it is where I obtained my undergraduate degree. I found that I was a perfect fit as a Wayne State student and always appreciated the diversity in the city as well as the history and culture Detroit has to offer.
Q: Who was your most memorable instructor?
A: Dr. Head was my most memorable professor during my time at Wayne State. I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Head. I always enjoyed listening to her stories. I appreciate all of the obstacles and challenges she overcame in life to inspire the rest of us today.
Q: Share some reflections about your time at Wayne State.
A: I spent six years as a WSU student and have had nothing but great memories. I made some of my closest friends at Wayne State as well as lifelong connections.
Q: Share a career highlight or summary.
A: I am now able to say that all my hard work paid off. I truly enjoy waking up every morning and going to work. I have been working for almost a year now and during this time, I have seen so much improvement in my clients. It is very motivating and inspiring to see how hard my clients work to better themselves, despite the obstacles they face.
Q: What advice would you give to students today?
A: Always be teachable and continue to be motivated to learn. I feel there is always room for improvement, even after becoming an OT you learn something new every day through experience and willingness to collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
