William C Palazzolo, PA-C, is the Director of Clinical Operations for the Department of Surgery, Co-Director of the Resident Healthcare Administration Fellowship, and Surgical Physician Assistant in Surgery at Michigan Medicine. Bill is a high energy, engaging professional with over 23 years of clinical operations and administrative experience with expertise in new healthcare program development that empowers both patients and medical professionals to collaborate to improve outcomes.
Bill received his B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science from Wayne State University in 1997 and began working in dietary services at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. In 1998, Bill returned to Wayne State University where he obtained a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. He has been practicing as a certified Physician Assistant since 2000 with expertise in robotic assisted surgery.
Bill was appointed to the Michigan Task Force on Physician's Assistants and served as past chairperson and member of the disciplinary subcommittee. He is also co-founder and past Chief Clinical Officer for a medical technology company, Prenovo. Bill is the past chair of the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants Membership Committee and member of the Continuing Medical Education Committee.
