Wayne State University invites applications for the position of Associate Dean for Health Sciences at the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
The position is primarily administrative, although the successful applicant must demonstrate research, teaching and service at the level appropriate to their faculty appointment. The Associate Dean for Health Sciences will be responsible for refining, in concert with the dean, the mission, vision and strategic plan for the nine health sciences programs under Health Sciences, contained within two Departments: Health Care Sciences and Fundamental and Applied Sciences. Ensuring program compliance with national accreditation agencies, enhancing research initiatives, program development, and faculty recruitment and development are key expectations.
The College is housed in a 270,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art building adjacent to the Detroit Medical Center. This puts us in the immediate vicinity of some of the best hospitals and healthcare professionals in the United States.
