At its October meeting, the Board of Visitors of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS) elected three new members to serve on its board. They are Harry Kurtz, president of MRA Experiential Tours & Equipment, Madison Heights, MI; Christine Zambricki, deputy executive director of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and resident of Bloomfield Hills, MI; and John Wright, vice president of Wright & Filippis, Rochester Hills, MI.

They join BOV Chair Nick Vitale, executive vice president and chief financial officer for the Beaumont Health System, Royal Oak, MI; Vice Chair Robert Milewski, senior vice president, special assistant to the President for hospital relations, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Southfield, MI; Karla M. Cole, director of James H. Cole Home for Funerals, Detroit; Tyrone Davenport, chief operating officer of Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, Detroit; Lisa Applebaum Haddad of New York City, NY; G. Richard Krieger of Livonia, MI; Carlos Ortiz of Amherst, MA; Catherine M. Polley, vice president, pharmacy services, Food Marketing Institute, Arlington, VA; Wyn Schumann Wendelken of Ann Arbor, MI; Robert J. Slattery, president, Midtown Development Group, Detroit; Robert Vandenbergh, consultant, Service Corporation International, Washington, MI; Dean Lloyd Y. Young and Peter D. Frade, chair and associate professor, EACPHS Department of Fundamental and Applied Sciences, Detroit.

The Board members, who are financial contributors to the College, meet quarterly. They act as a volunteer leadership council that helps to secure private and public support, advance the endeavors of Wayne State University and the College, provide valuable feedback on college activities, create a positive culture of volunteerism and advocacy that enriches the Unviersity and College experience, and encourage engagement with alumni and friends.
