Colleges BOV offers $5,000 competitive scholarship opportunity

Applications for the Board of Visitors (BOV) of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS) second annual competitive scholarships are now being accepted. One $5,000 and two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students in the college. The deadline for submitting applications is Jan. 22 (Tuesday).

In addition to the application and letters of recommendation, a 3-5 minute YouTube video is required. Links for application forms and video instructions may be found at the end of this announcement.

Who is eligible?
Students eligible to apply for the BOV Scholarship must be full-time EACPHS students with a minimum 3.5 GPA entering their final year/semester of their program in the summer or fall 2013. Each applicant should be able to demonstrate leadership qualities, active engagement in the community, serve as an ambassador of the college and their program, and exhibit a commitment to their profession.

Each applicant must obtain two letters of recommendation, complete a scholarship application, and produce a YouTube video by Jan. 22 (Tuesday). The scholarship recipient also must attend the Donors and Scholars Luncheon on May 15 (Wednesday) and one meeting of the Board of Visitors.

Applications Process
Applications are to be completed and submitted to Tiffany Cusmano in the Dean's Office, second floor EACPHS Building, by Jan. 22 (Tuesday).

One application from each program will be submitted to the Board of Visitors for review. The Board will recommend three candidates for final selection by the Dean and/or his designee(s). The official recognition of the scholarship will be made at the annual Donors and Scholars Awards and Luncheon on May 15 (Wednesday).
