Dr. Rybak Awarded NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant
Michael J. Rybak, PharmD, professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice, has received an award notification from the National Institutes of Health. The grant totals $429,658 over a two-year period with $190,000 awarded in the first year. Ryback is the principal investigator on the R21 "Impact of Daptomycin Dose Exposure on Enterococci and Characterization of Resista."
According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services website, "The R21 grant mechanism is intended to encourage exploratory/developmental research by providing support for the early and conceptual stages of project development."
