Faculty and Staff Recognized for Service

The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences recently honored 16 faculty and staff for their years of service to the college and Wayne State University. Recognized by their colleagues at an afternoon reception were:

40 years - Hanley Abramson, professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

30 years - Gwen Butt, secretary, Office of Student and Alumni Services.

25 years - Randall Commissaris, associate professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences; David Edwards, chair and professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice; and Howard Normile, EACPHS associate dean and professor, Physician Assistant Studies, Department of Health Care Sciences.

20 years - George Fuller, professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Linda Jaber, associate professor, Department of Pharmacy Practice; Maureen Smythe, professor-clinical, Department of Pharmacy Practice; Patrick Woster, professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

15 years - David Asman, secretary, Office of the Dean.

10 years - Thomas Birk, chair, Department of Health Care Sciences, and associate professor, Physical Therapy program; Xiufeng Gao, research assistant, Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences, Department of Health Care Sciences; Stuart Hazeldine, post-doctoral fellow, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Anjan Kowluru, professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Douglas Miller, professor-clinical, Department of Pharmacy Practice; and Paula Walker, secretary, Department of Fundamental and Applied Sciences.
