The next Health Sciences Lecture Series will take place in the EACPHS Auditorium on Wednesday, June 3, at two times: 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. The topic is "Trauma: Understanding the Causes and Symptoms of Trauma and How to Address It as Professionals Working with a Variety of Patients and Clients."
Panelists include:
Patricia (Patti) Dixon, MSW, ACSW, a member of WSU's Counseling and Psychological Services' clinical staff;
Molly Gabriel, MA, a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Detroit Mercy and a Health Psychology Intern at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center
Doug Howell, PA-C, a faculty member in the Physician Assistant Studies program who served in the Vietnam War and authored a book on the transition from post war years, living with PTSD and how the return trips to Vietnam affected him; and
Christine Rabinak, an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice who has a strong record of research in the area of neurosciences and post-traumatic stress.
