Health-System Pharmacists recognize pharmacy students, alumni and faculty

Southeastern Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SMSHP) honored several of our students, alumni and faculty at its annual installation dinner, Nov. 9.

Recognized were alumni Tracy Martinez, PharmD, president-elect; Jennifer Clemente, PharmD, elected to association board; Katy Hurren, PharmD, pharmacist of the year; Jamie Hwang, PharmD, resident of the year; and Carol Moore, PharmD, innovative practice.

Charles, Makowski, fourth-year PharmD candidate, received a SMSHP scholarship, and Kim Claeys, fourth-year PharmD candidate, the student research award. Faculty member Geralynn B. Smith, MS, director of IPPE Experiential Education Programs, Department of Pharmacy Practice, the community service award..
