Pharmacy Program Awarded Scholarship
The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) Foundation awarded a $10,000 scholarship to the Pharmacy Program of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS), Wayne State University (WSU).
It was the third largest scholarship to be awarded during the NACDS annual meeting in April. The NACDS Foundation awarded a total of $240,000 to individuals and pharmacy schools nationwide.
The benefactor of the scholarship presented to the College was Abbott's Pharmaceutical Products Division. This year's scholarship program was supported by 30 benefactors, consisting of 26 member companies and 4 associate members.
The NADCS Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization that serves as the education, research and charitable affiliate of the National Association of Chain Drug Stores. The Foundation supports programs that seek to advance and improve patient care through community pharmacy.
