Pharmacy Students Win Competition
Student pharmacists Jennifer Johnson and Lea Monday won the statewide Clinical Skills competition at the annual meeting of the Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Nov. 6.
Both women are in their fourth year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS), Wayne State University (WSU).
"This is the third time in the past 4 years that Wayne State students have won this competition," said David J. Edwards, professor and chair of the EACPHS Department of Pharmacy Practice. "This speaks to not only the excellence of these students, but also the quality of our curriculum and faculty."
Johnson and Monday will represent Wayne State at the national competition during the ASHP Mid-year Clinical meeting in December.
