PharmD Graduates Pass NAPLEX

The Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences proudly announces that the 74 graduates of the 2009 Doctor of Pharmacy program achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the North American Pharmacy Licensure Exam (NAPLEX). The graduates took the exam this past summer.

Overall the score exceeded both the state and national averages. Five graduates scored above the 99.5 percentile on the exam.

"This pass rate reflects the academic caliber of students in our pharmacy program and the excellence of our faculty in preparing and guiding our students to achieve their professional goals," said EACPHS Dean Lloyd Y. Young. "I extend my congratulations to both our graduates and our faculty."

The Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) is the professional degree for the practice of pharmacy in the United States. The curriculum for the EACPHS PharmD program is jointly administered and taught by faculty in both the Department of Pharmacy Practice and the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
