PharmSci PhD Candidate Earns Poster Honors at Graduate Research Day

Sunil Vooturi, a PhD candidate in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, earned the Best Poster Presentation at the Annual Graduate Student Research Day. The School of Medicine, Wayne State University (WSU), sponsored and hosted the event, Sept. 17.

Vooturi's poster "Self Assembly of a Membrane Targeted Antibiotic" was among 56 posters presented. A graduate student-organized event, Research Day promotes interaction among WSU departments and students within the biomedical research community.

Other Pharmaceutical Sciences PhD candidates making poster presentations were Michael Crowley, Bhavaani Jayaram, Youxxuan LI, and Abdul Khader Mohammad.

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is one of four departments in the WSU Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
