Vaccine expert Dr. Basel Khatib to lecture for #KnockOutHPV campaign
Renowned vaccine expert Basel Khatib MD, FAAP, will present a lecture, "HPV Diseases and Vaccine: Myths and Facts," on Thursday, June 6, at 10 a.m. in the Wayne State University Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (Room 540).
The lecture is part of the campuswide #KnockOutHPV campaign designed and managed by PharmD student Adalah Yahia.

Khatib is a board-certified pediatrician affiliated with Beaumont Hospital. In practice for 25 years, he has received more than 25 awards related to vaccines including two national awards: CDC Childhood Immunization Champion in 2014, and CDC HPV is Cancer Prevention Award in 2018. He has done many vaccine-related presentations at CDC headquarters and at vaccine conferences held by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and Wayne County. His vaccine work has been featured in the media, including in the Wall Street Journal.
