You\'re Invited: Sept. 11 Annual Alumni Reunion
Michigan's First Surgeon General opens an evening of education, awards and recognition at the Annual Alumni Reunion and dinner of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (EACPHS), Wayne State University (WSU), Sept. 11.
Kimberlydawn Wisdom, MD, MS, vice president of Community Health Education and Wellness, Henry Ford Health System, will begin the festivities at 5 p.m. as the guest speaker for the Martin Barr Lecture. She will address "Unnatural Causes - Natural Solutions: Your Role in Eliminating Health Disparities"
Immediately following the lecture, seven EACPHS alumni will be honored for distinguished service in their professions. They are the late Kathryn Beattie, Medical Technology/ Clinical Laboratory Science; Ronald S. Coleman, pharmacy; Kimberly S. Hurst, Physician Assistant Studies: Arnie H. Kander, Physical Therapy: Gene X. Kortsha, Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences; Thomas Lynch, Mortuary Science, and Pamela K. Poteete, Occupational Therapy.
As is the tradition, 25- and 50-year EACPHS alumni will be recognized during the dinner.
There is no charge for the Martin Barr Lecture, named in honor of EACPHS Dean from 1964-72. This program is awarded a 1.0 hour of pharmacy continuing education (PCE) credit.

The Martin Barr Lecture, Distinguished Alumni Awards program, and Alumni Reunion Dinner are being held in the EACPHS building at 259 Mack and John R, Detroit. Parking will be available in Structure #7 on John R, across from the college and the Michigan Rehabilitation Institute.
