To continually foster an environment that leads to continuous high-impact externally funded research.
- Objective 1a: Recruit and retain faculty with high potential to establishing externally funded research programs that enhance our international reputation.
- Objective 1b: Provide internal funding that leads to competitive research awards.
- Objective 1c: Support faculty participation in conferences and programs that advance scholarship endeavors
- Objective 1d: Increase the number of graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other trainees.
Promote a culture that encourages and rewards scholarship
- Objective 2a: Ensure that programmatic specific criteria for scholarship is defined and that faculty are being equitably assessed and rewarded based on such criteria.
- Objective 2b: Reward interprofessional and/or collaborative and impactful achievements in scholarship.
- Objective 2b: Increase the number of full-time faculty who participate in collaborative externally funded projects (e.g., service contracts, grant awards).
Sustain and expand resources to support the advancement of the research and scholarship mission of the College
- Objective 3a: Expand partnerships with corporations and health care organizations to enhance research and scholarship.
- Objective 3b: Sustain and expand opportunities for faculty participation in entrepreneurial clinical service activities on behalf of the College (e.g., partnerships, practice plans).
Promote and reward those who engage in scholarship of teaching and learning
- Objective 4a: Review promotion and tenure guidelines for programs to incentivize and reward scholarship in teaching and learning.
- Objective 4b: Develop awards for achievement in the scholarship of teaching and learning.
