WSU Applebaum has recently received notification of an impressive series of awards from the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and its journal ahead of its Global Conference on Oct. 15-18 in San Francisco.

Earning the Journal of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Editor's Choice Award for their publication "Ambulatory care practice in the COVID-19 era: Redesigning clinical services and experiential learning" are Assistant Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Insaf Mohammad, Associate Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Helen Berlie, Associate Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Melissa Lipari, Associate Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Amber Martirosov and Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Candice Garwood. Additional authors are former faculty member Opal Bacon, program alumna Maggie Faraj and Andrea Duong, who was a resident with Mohammad. The publication's editor-in-chief and its board select this award from papers that have been published in JACCP within the previous two years that they deem to be exemplary. In 2020, the paper also earned the honor of being among the top three most downloaded JACCP articles.

The next two awards come from the ACCP Ambulatory Care Practice and Research Network (PRN), which is composed of pharmacists from a diverse array of outpatient settings with a particular emphasis on the provision of primary care for chronic diseases.

The ACCP Ambulatory Care PRN's Achievement Award goes to Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Candice Garwood.

The ACCP Ambulatory Care PRN's Advocacy Award goes to Assistant Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Insaf Mohammad, who also is the group's newly elected incoming chair-elect.
